Experience this spectacular natural phenomenon: millions of monarch butterflies weave glittering golden tapestries draping the forests of Pine trees and Oyamel (“sacred fir”) in eastern Michoacan. Here the butterflies spend the winter after their amazing 3,000-mile migration from Canada and northeastern United States. Visit these forests “sanctuaries” to witness the otherworldly monarchs up close.
