MEXICO BOUTIQUE HOTELS ADDS EIGHT NEW HOTELS FROM ACAPULCO TO ZACATECAS
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico-Noted for their charm, allure and the unique
vacation experiences they offer, the exclusive collection of Mexico
Boutique Hotels has grown by eight new hotels. Mexico Boutique
Hotels director Elsa Guadarrama, announces that this brings the group
to 35 hotels in a total of 22 destinations in Mexico, an increase in
the collection by 100% since the company's official launch in July of
2000. These additions represent four new destinations for Mexico
Boutique Hotels -
Guadalajara,
Zacatecas, Punta de Mita (Nayarit) and
Isla Navidad (Jalisco)-bringing travelers better access to these
areas and lodging options which have been previously
under-represented and difficult to reserve.
"The synergy of these locations is important", says Guadarrama. "For
example,
Guadalajara is prized,
not only for its cultural and
historical charm, but also its strategic location for North American
air access, onward connections and ground transportation, permitting
easy travel to the most significant colonial towns in the heartland
of Mexico."
Travellers and travel professionals can research and reserve the new
hotels immediately and get extensive destination information on-line
at www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com or through the company's recently
enhanced reservations service (see separate press release). The
hotels are presented in the company's new 2002 color directory, now
available on request.
The new hotels have been selected based on a qualification process
and established set of criteria. Guadarrama comments, "These hotels
are exemplary of the varied individual concepts represented within
the Mexico Boutique Hotels collection. While individual style and
character are key points in qualifying to be a member hotel, the
common elements of intimate size, personalized service and excellent
cuisine are traits that each must possess."
New hotel locations run, literally, from A to Z. In Mexico's
legendary jet-set destination of Acapulco, the elegant and chic
74-room
Quinta Real Acapulco,
on Punta Diamante beach, lives up to
the glamour of its star studded days
(www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/quintarealacapulco).
Mexico Boutique Hotels' third hotel in the environs of Cuernavaca is
the 52-room
Cuernavaca Racquet Club,
a romantic, secluded hacienda
style building with nine tennis courts. Combining elegance with a
sporting chic, it retains a colourful history as the gathering spot
for celebrities, politicians and artists at grand social and sporting
events (www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/racquetclub).
In Guadalajara, MBH offers, not one, but two new hotels with
contrasting styles and locations: The
Quinta
Real Guadalajara is a
76-room colonial-style building a few steps from Lopez Mateos Avenue,
close to Plaza Mexico and Galeria del Calzado
(www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/qrguadalajara).
Villa
Ganz is a
10-room inn hidden in a garden setting in a fine residential and
commercial area about 15 minutes from the centro histórico.
On Mexico's Pacific coast in the golf, marina and resort community of
Isla Navidad (Jalisco), everything is on a grand scale at the
14-suite private mansion of
Mesón
Doña Paz, one of the most exclusive
and decadent resorts imaginable
(www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/mesondonapaz).
In Mexico City, the 29-room
La Casona is exemplary of the cultural
significance of many Mexico Boutique Hotels. This manor-style hotel
in the Colonia Roma area has been recognized for its fine restoration
with a special designation from the National Institute of Fine Arts
(www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/lacasona).
On a secluded beach near Punta de Mita (Nayarit), the villa-style
Casa Las Brisas complements two completely
contrasting hotels also
represented by MBH in the Puerto Vallarta region. At the extreme
upper end of the Bay of Banderas, on a pristine stretch of beach,
this six-room inn is so private guests need special directions to
find it (www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/casalasbrisas).
In the sophisticated colonial city of Zacatecas is the architectural
and design wonder of
Quinta Real Zacatecas.
This 49-room hotel was
built within an historic bull-fighting ring on the edge of the city
and received an architectural merit award when it opened in 1979
(www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/qrzacatecas).
Based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Boutique Hotels is the only company
of its kind exclusively dedicated to offering boutique-category
lodging throughout the Mexican Republic. It provides a comprehensive
information and reservations service, providing efficient and
economical access to these hotels, an assured reservations method and
a high standard of accommodation.
