Why is MBH different from other associations?
MBH operates under the same values and characteristics that it demands of its member hotels; highly personalized service, attention to detail and providing unique, extraordinary experiences that highlight the best of Mexico. We consider ourselves to be an extension of our hotels and strive to seamlessly provide the same quality one would expect from the property itself.
MBH is the only association of its kind that qualifies boutique hotels in Mexico. International “theme” hotel collections exist, however there is no other group that specializes only in Mexico, allowing us to be the regional experts!
The MBH collection is small (less than 50 hotels, most under 30 rooms) allowing us to know each property intimately; their uniqueness and special attributes.
MBH publishes information bilingually – in English and Spanish. This allows our hotel members to comfortably communicate with our offices in the language of their choice and always be properly informed. It also allows us to broaden our press reach as we can focus on international and national press.

- AUTO-RENEWABLE CONTRACT: Once accepted as a member of Mexico Boutique Hotels, membership continues on an on-going basis with an automatically renewed agreement, unless either party, Hoteles Boutique de México or the Member, decide to end the relationship.
- TWO-PAGE SPREAD IN THE MBH DIRECTORY: The Hotel will be featured inside the MBH directory. Each member will have a two-page spread with photography and information about the hotel. The MBH Directory is released each year at the Acapulco Tianguis and is distributed to travel agencies in Mexico, the United States and Canada, to participants at Acapulco Tianguis and other attended trade shows, on national newsstands (??), to independent travelers and placed within the rooms of each MBH hotel. Member hotels will receive copies of the directory to place in each room to promote client networking, with extras for selective distribution to guests, and for hotel promotion.
- HOTEL PAGE ON BOTH MEXICO BOUTIQUEHOTELS.COM AND HOTELESBOUTIQUE.COM: Each hotel property is featured on the MBH website which gets thousands of visits every month from all over the world. There are two websites, in English and in Spanish
- UNIQUE MBH PEWTER PLAQUE: Each Member receives the official MBH Recognition Plaque to be displayed in a prominent location of the hotel property, preferably the entrance or outside the entrance.
- USE OF THE MBH LOGO and TOLL FREE NUMBERS: The MBH logo is available for use on hotel letterhead, advertising literature, etc. to promote your association with MBH. MBH toll-free numbers can also be used to help drive traffic to your hotel.
- COMPLETE INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN FOR THE MBH BRAND: Each Member is included in our public relations efforts which includes press releases and the organization of FAM trips for both consumer and trade publications as well as to our data bank of travel agents and travel writers. Additionally strategic alliances are formed and hotels may choose to participate in high-profile auctions, sweepstakes and other promotional opportunities ...
- TRADE SHOW REPRESENTATION: Every year MBH has a booth at the Acapulco Tianguis to distribute directories to the national and international travel agencies and travel show participants. As a member, you are welcome to join us at the booth and use the facilities to conduct meetings or other promotional activities.
- PRESENCE IN THE MBH RACK BROCHURE: The MBH rack brochure is available to all Members to promote HBM at trade shows they may be attending. As well, the brochure is used for fulfillment purposes for consumer and trade inquiries.
- MBH MONTHLY NEWSLETTER FOR CLIENT DATABASE: MBH produces a monthly client newsletter featuring theme packages, special offers, recipes, destination information, etc. Hotel members also benefit from this activity.
- ACCESS TO THE MBH ONLINE RESERVATIONS SYSTEM: The MBH online reservations system is easy-to-use and can also be implemented on your hotel website in order to offer instant availability to your clients.
- ACCESS TO THE GDS THROUGH WORLD HOTELS: The MBH alliance with World Hotels enables us to offer full GDS services to our hotels. This service is part of the Membership-Plus program.
- NETWORKING WITH OTHER HOTEL MEMBERS: The MBH Blog is available for all hotel members to share information. Additionally many MBH members exchange room nights between them as well as tips, information on suppliers, agency mailing lists, etc.
