Shopping in Cancun For inveterate shoppers, Cancun has it all. It´s a duty-free port and a center for opals, black coral jewelry and hand-blown glassware in addition to other handicrafts from the Yucatan and other regions of Mexico; and it has more than a dozen air-conditioned malls.
Golf in Cancun There are two 18-hole courses and two short, but fun, golf courses open to the public at hotels.
Activities in Cancun Clear blue waters create perfect conditions for viewing the exotic underwater life at coral reefs whether by scuba, snorkel or submarine ride. More than 20 dive shops provide tours to the best dive spots.
Fishing
Fishing charters are easy to arrange. Sailfish and other species run March through July, and from April through June you might catch blue or white marlin and bluefin tuna.

Tours & Excursions in Cancun You can take a tour or rent a jeep and visit numerous archeological sites including the famous city of Chichen Itza, two hours west of Cancun by bus. You may want to travel to Tulum, the only Mayan port city ever discovered and the only Mayan city to still be occupied when the Spaniards arrived in the 16th century.
