The Temascal
The ritual lasts 2 1/2 hours and consists of 3 sessions of approximately 20 minutes each. It begins with a brief explanation and each person applies healing clay made up of coconut, cucumber and papaya to their body. It is later washed off in the ocean. A Seashell is blown to salute the 5 directions (North, South, East, West and Earth). This is followed with a "Shaman cleansing" and an herbal tea.
The Temascal takes place on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 4:00 pm.
Reservations are required. Subject to cancellation if less than 4 people sign up.
