Casa Cid de Leon - Oaxaca
Sophisticated - Detailed - Central

For the discerning traveler, getting acquainted with a place entails both access to its most intimate corners and the possibility of exploring it through its landmarks and people.

Located in the historical center of Oaxaca, where walking is an exciting experience, Casa Cid de León is the perfect place to relax. Here you will delight in one of Oaxaca´s most precious traits: hospitality.

Casa Cid de León´s massive walls embrace an ambiance of times past and the luxury of its four exclusive suites: La Bella Epoca, La Dominica, El Mío Cid and Del Aranjuez. Its eclectic decor subtly mixes its green stone structure, terracotta floors and wood-beam ceilings with hand-embroidered linens, fresh flowers, antique dolls, overstuffed chairs, bronze chandeliers and rococo stucco angels.

Poetry is found everywhere, and in the guest book the same comment is repeated over and over again: "In Casa Cid de León, I really feel at home."

"Your host, poet Lety Ricárdez, lets you know immediately that this charming mansion in the center of town is "your home." Pass through a wrought-iron gate to reach two of the suites, then climb a twisting stone staircase to find the other two. Ask for the Bella Epoca suite, where everything seems to come in threes: three rooms with three sets of French doors that lead to three balconies -- there are even three crystal chandeliers. The bath has a deep whirlpool tub and towels tied with silk ribbons. The rooftop dining room has views of all the city´s landmarks."
–Fodor´s, 2006.

"Casa Cid de León has easily the largest suites in downtown Oaxaca. Each is extravagantly decorated in colonial style, with a few modern touches and fresh-cut flowers...The location, 2 blocks north of the zócalo, is excellent, and Señora Cid de León is a most accommodating hotel owner."
–Frommer´s Mexico - 2006.
